On Sunday, 3rd August, Dora developed a pneumothorax and required a 3½ hour sternotomy operation to remove part of her lung and extract the grass seed responsible for her condition. Fortunately, Dora has recovered from the procedure and is now at home, undergoing an eight-week period of crate rest.
The substantial veterinary expenses are, thankfully, covered by insurance, however, costs for post-surgical rehabilitation and physiotherapy sessions are not included. Jannean is seeking support to raise funds for these necessary services and is offering discounted Reflexology treatments (see below) in recognition of contributions.
